Use the basket after fruit has been harvested and is ready to move. The exact interaction prompt may change, but the intended workflow is straightforward:

How to Complete Farmer's Market Orders with a Fruit Basket
The two systems have different jobs. The Farmer's Market provides a changing order for specific fruit, quantities, size requirements such as Huge, and mutation requirements such as Slimy or Scaled. The Fruit Basket helps you gather the matching harvest and transport it as a delivery. Completing the order is what awards Cash and Tickets; the Fruit Basket does not create Farmer's Tickets by itself.

Grow the match
Plant the corresponding seed and use pets or upgrades until a mature fruit meets the order conditions.
Pack the fruit
