Quick answer
Start with the free Oak seed. Move to Pine at $25 and the Rare seeds from $200 to $500 while you build a replanting reserve. The first Epic seed costs $10K, so wait until losing one tree would still leave enough Cash for another safe cycle.

Buy an available seed with Cash at the river stalls in the middle of the map, then plant it on an empty plot. Harvest and sell a healthy tree to fund the next purchase. A few pets provide another route: Robin can occasionally find a seed with mutation potential, while Woodpecker can sometimes obtain a seed from a tree on your farm.
If you are starting from zero, follow the Beginner's Guide for the buy, grow and harvest loop. The Pets Guide explains how Robin and Woodpecker fit into a three-pet team.
These are budget checkpoints, not a profit-per-hour ranking. The seed data lists prices, rarity and spawn odds, but it does not record each tree's harvest value, growth time or fruit yield. Choose a seed you can afford to replace and adjust your harvest timing as the stake grows.
Free to $200
Oak gives you a way to restart with no Cash. Pine and Apple are small steps once the wallet can still fund another seed after a bad harvest.
$350 to $20K
Rare seeds cost hundreds; the first Epic option jumps to $10K. Move up when a lightning loss would slow you down, not end the run.
$2.50M to $7B
Legendary and Mythic prices make harvest timing matter more. Set a cash-out target before planting and check the next-cycle risk as the multiplier climbs.
$500B and above
Celestial, Divine and later seeds demand a much larger reserve. Their high listed prices do not by themselves prove faster profit or safer growth.
The 1-in-N figure is the listed chance for each named seed, not a guarantee after N attempts. It measures how often a seed appears; it does not predict its sale price or survival against lightning. This summary uses the current odds from Common through Divine.
| Rarity | Seeds | Per-seed spawn chance | Cost range |
|---|---|---|---|
| Common | Oak, Pine | 1 in 5 | Free–$25 |
| Rare | Apple, Peach, Fig | 1 in 9 | $200–$500 |
| Epic | Orange, Lemon, Avocado | 1 in 15 | $10K–$20K |
| Legendary | Cherry, Mango, Coconut | 1 in 120 | $2.50M–$10M |
| Mythic | Banana, Starfruit, Dragon Fruit | 1 in 300 | $3B–$7B |
| Celestial | Glowing, Blooming | 1 in 400 | $500B–$750B |
| Secret | Magic, Pizza | 1 in 660 | $500T–$850T |
| Divine | Diamond, Void | 1 in 1,000 | $1Qi–$1.75Qi |
The complete Seeds Database lists all 28 seeds and includes Transcendent, Ancient, Ethereal and Godly.
Use this shortlist to choose a practical next step as your farm grows. Picks reflect each seed's rarity, listed price and spawn odds.
| Rank | Seed | Why consider it |
|---|---|---|
| #5 | Coconut seed | A Legendary upgrade beyond Epic crops once you can afford a $10M seed and a recovery plan. |
| #4 | Dragon Fruit seed | A Mythic goal for farms consistently earning billions; it costs $7B and has listed 1-in-300 spawn odds. |
| #3 | Pizza seed | A Secret-tier stepping stone before Divine seeds; it costs $850T and has listed 1-in-660 spawn odds. |
| #2 | Diamond seed | The lower-cost Divine option at $1Qi, with listed 1-in-1,000 spawn odds. |
| #1 | Void seed | The higher-cost Divine goal at $1.75Qi, with listed 1-in-1,000 spawn odds. |
Use the Lightning Risk Calculator to compare harvesting now with waiting another cycle after an expensive purchase.

Dragon Fruit is the $7B Mythic goal in this route. Starfruit at $4.50B is a lower-cost alternative while you build toward it.
Pizza is a Secret-tier stepping stone priced at $850T before the Divine seeds. Keep enough Cash to recover if the tree is lost.
Diamond costs $1Qi; Void costs $1.75Qi. Void is the final Divine target in this route, while Diamond is the cheaper entry point.
These are progression picks, not proven yield leaders. The current dataset does not include the harvest returns needed to identify the highest-earning seed in each rarity.
This is a flexible route rather than a required purchase order. Starfruit can bridge the Mythic stage if Dragon Fruit is out of reach; prioritize a safe replanting reserve at every step.
Buy available seeds with Cash at the river stalls in the middle of the map. Robin can occasionally find seeds with mutation potential, and Woodpecker can sometimes return a seed from a farm tree.
Oak is the safest first purchase because it is free. Pine is a low-cost next step, followed by Apple, Peach or Fig once you can afford a replacement after a lost tree.
A listed 1 in 300 spawn chance is the recorded chance for that individual seed to appear. It does not guarantee an appearance within 300 opportunities, and it says nothing about the tree's eventual sale value.
No. Price and rarity alone cannot establish profit per harvest or profit per hour. A lightning loss can erase the Cash spent on an expensive seed, so keep a replanting reserve and compare the risk before upgrading.
Astral is the highest-priced seed in the current 28-seed database. It belongs to the Godly rarity and is an extreme late-game option.
