How to Use the Greedy Growers Lightning Risk Calculator

    1

    Describe the tree

Choose the seed, enter the current tree value and set the multiplier milestone you want to reach.

    2

    Add protection

Include Turtle count and levels, fed status, Shield charges, Lightning Rod and Grounding level.

    3

    Add growth boosts

Select the weather mutation, Worm, fertilizer and any Prediction Potion protection.

    4

    Follow the decision

Compare current harvest value, next-cycle value, survival odds, expected loss and the recommended action.

What the Greedy Growers Risk Calculator Shows

The result is designed for a decision, not just a single risk percentage. It estimates the current harvest value, expected value after one more cycle, target reach probability, next lightning survival probability, destroyed-before-target probability, Dead Tree value and expected loss. Weather mutation and Worm multipliers are included in the healthy-value estimate, while Prediction Potion protection reduces the exposed part of the run.

HARVEST NOW

Bank the current value when the downside is larger than the next-cycle upside.

HOLD ONE MORE CYCLE

Keep growing when the expected value and survival probability support one more wait.

USE PREDICTION POTION

Protect a known safe multiplier when the target is otherwise too exposed.

USE PROTECTION FIRST

Add a Shield, Turtle, Rod or Grounding before taking a high-risk cycle.

When Should You Harvest in Greedy Growers?

Harvesting locks in your current tree value. Holding for another cycle can produce a better multiplier, but it also leaves the tree exposed to a strike. The calculator turns that trade-off into a plain recommendation instead of asking you to guess at a risky moment.

Be especially cautious with a valuable mutated tree during Thunderstorm. A good rule is to bank the value when the downside of losing the tree would slow your next seed cycle, Rebirth goal or delivery order.

A simple decision rule

  • Harvest when the tool says the risk or opportunity cost is too high.
  • Hold when the expected value is higher and you can afford the potential loss.
  • Do not let a rare tree sit unprotected just because the multiplier looks exciting.

Lightning Risk by Weather, Shields and Lightning Rods

The calculator starts from a 10% base strike chance, then applies the weather multiplier. Sunny Day and Rainbow Weather show no lightning risk, while Thunderstorm applies a 3.5x multiplier. Copper and Gold Lightning Rods, Grounding levels, fed Turtles and Shield charges can all reduce or absorb the risk before you decide to hold.

Thunderstorm

2x growth speed with a 3.5x lightning-risk multiplier. Check your protection before chasing another growth cycle.

Lightning Rods

Copper reduces strike risk by 15%; Gold reduces it by 35%. Select the rod you actually have equipped for an accurate estimate.

Shields and Turtle

Shield charges absorb a strike, while the Turtle pet blocks 15% of strikes. Include both before you write off a dangerous weather window.

Lightning Risk Calculator FAQ

How does the Greedy Growers Lightning Risk Calculator work?

Choose your seed, current multiplier, target multiplier, current tree value, goal, weather mutation, Worm, fertilizer and protection setup. The calculator compares the Cash you can collect now with the expected value and survival odds of risking one more growth cycle.

When should I harvest in Greedy Growers?

Harvest when the calculator recommends HARVEST NOW, especially if a valuable tree is exposed to high lightning risk and your protection tools cannot absorb the loss. Holding only makes sense when the next-cycle expected value outweighs that risk.

Does Thunderstorm increase lightning risk in Greedy Growers?

Yes. In this calculator, Thunderstorm applies a 3.5x lightning-risk multiplier to the base strike chance. Use a Lightning Rod, Grounding, fed Turtle pets or Shield charges to reduce the danger before holding another cycle.

Do Lightning Rods and shields reduce the calculated risk?

Yes. Copper and Gold Lightning Rods reduce strike risk, Grounding reduces it by level, each fed Turtle blocks part of incoming strikes, and each Shield charge can absorb one strike. If repeated lightning is allowed, remaining charges also reduce the probability of breaking through all protection.
